Jagan Mohan slams TDP Govt over women treatment

Nellore: YSR Congress president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy criticised the state government for their mercy shown to party legislator Chintamaneni Prabhakar for attacking a woman Tahasildar, Vanajakshi, and insulting her. Interacting with women at Renumala village in Udayagiri constituency of Nellore district on Thursday, Jagan said that the number of incidents of attack on women has increased because the Chief Minister failed to take action against the accused while pointing to another incident of aTD leaders assaulting a Dalit woman at Pendurthi.

Jagan agreed with party legislator R.K. Roja who observation that there is no security in the state for women under TD regime. She lambasted the government on the issue during an interaction with women at Renumala. The opposition leader assured the people to look into issues affecting tobacco growers to bring smiles on their faces when a section of the growers explained their problems during his Padayatra in Udayagiri constituency on Thursday. On the 88th day of his Prajasankalpa yatra, Jagan has traversed through  Adimurthipuram, Chinthaladivi,  Kondapuram, Kondareddypalem and Renamala villages of Udayagiri constituency and interacted with villagers.
